   Svaki sistem teži ravnoteži. — Every system tends toward equilibrium.
3. to weigh
   Ovaj kofer teži skoro dvadeset kila. — This suitcase weighs almost twenty kilos.

In the sense "strive" it takes the dative (težiti uspehu) or ka + dative, za + instrumental.
