Bakar dobro provodi struju. — Copper conducts electricity well.
(somebody) to lead; to guide; to show around

Vodič nas je provodio kroz stari grad. — The guide was leading us through the old town.

For "to carry out" (measures, laws) sprovoditi is more usual in Serbia; the perfective is provesti.
