2. (in film, theatre) direction
   Film je dobio nagradu za najbolju režiju. — The film won the award for best direction.
   Predstava je rađena u režiji mladog reditelja. — The play was directed by a young director.
3. colloq. (of an event) a setup; something staged
   Ceo taj skandal je bio čista režija. — That whole scandal was completely staged.
4. (in business, accounting) overheads; overhead costs
   Firma mora da smanji režiju da bi ostala u plusu. — The company has to cut its overheads to stay in the black.
5. (in radio, television) control room
   Iz režije su javili da emisija počinje. — The control room announced that the show was starting.

In the sense of "utilities" the plural režije is almost always used.
