2. (electrical engineering, fuse box) circuit breaker
   Automatski prekidač u razvodnoj tabli je izbacio. — The circuit breaker in the fuse box tripped.

In the sense 'circuit breaker' prekidač is mostly technical usage (automatski / zaštitni prekidač); in everyday speech a tripped breaker is usually called osigurač: 'Izbacio je osigurač'.
