2. (for baking) oven
   Ova pica se peče u peći na drva. — This pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven.
3. (in industry) furnace; kiln
   U železari su ugasili visoku peć. — They shut down the blast furnace at the steelworks.

A kitchen oven in Serbia is usually called "rerna".
