1. (mostly of people) a few; a handful; a small number
   Na sastanak je došla samo nekolicina studenata. — Only a handful of students came to the meeting.
   Nekolicina nas je ostala do kraja. — A few of us stayed until the end.

Takes the genitive plural; the verb is usually feminine singular (nekolicina je došla). Used mostly of people, usually of men or mixed groups, with masculine nouns (nekolicina studenata; nekolicina studentkinja is rare), but in everyday speech it is also used of things (nekolicina stvari).
