Azijat

1. colloq. Asian man
   Rekao je da je u radnju ušao neki Azijat. — He said some Asian guy came into the shop.
2. derog. dated barbarian; boor
   Ponaša se za stolom kao pravi azijat. — He behaves at the table like a real barbarian.

In its literal sense of an Asian person the word can be neutral, though Azijac is the safer neutral term. The figurative sense “barbarian; boor” is an old ethnic stereotype, found mainly in older texts, and is offensive.
